Quality Criteria
Because we want NWestmusic.com to be a site in which buyers can have confidence, we will accept only CDs that meet our quality requirements. These are:
- Musicality. The music is professionally and skillfully performed.
- Technical quality. The performance is well recorded and mastered.
- Duplication quality. The disc is well duplicated on quality stock, free of skipping, dropouts, digital clicks, surface blemishes or other flaws. CD-Rs are acceptable, provided they meet these standards.
- Packaging. The disc is packaged in a plastic jewel case, cardboard envelope or other standard container. Artwork is well-printed. On-CD printing is not smeared or scratched. Paper labels, if used, adhere properly to the disc, are not bubbled or off-center. CDs are shrink-wrapped. (If not, we will shrink-wrap them and add a 25-cent per CD fee to the commission due.)
In addition, the consignor must sign an Intellectual Property Form certifying that the artist/group either owns the rights to the music performed, has paid a royalty or license fee to the copyright holders, or asserts that the music is in the public domain.
For each title submitted, please include:
- CD Information Form
- Signed Consignment Agreement
- Signed Intellectual Property Statement
