About Consignment
Here’s how NWestmusic.com works:- Send us 5 CDs and tell us how much your want to sell them for. That’s right, you name your own selling price.
- We sell the CD on our website, and take a flat $4 fee for each one sold.
- We ship the CDs to the buyers, we collect the payments, and we send you a check once a quarter. When your 5 CDs are sold, we send you an e-mail asking for more.
It’s that simple.
To keep quality high, NWestmusic.com is an auditioned site. That means we listen to every CD submitted and judge it on musicianship, recording / duplication quality, and quality of packaging. Only those that meet quality standards are accepted. (Others are returned, C.O.D. ) (To see the standards, continue to the next page.)
Every accepted title will get its own display place on the website, including:
- A photo of the CD cover.
- A complete songlist
- A short text describing the artist, the type of music and whatever is new or interesting about the album.
- A 1-minute streaming sound clip from the album.
We are looking for folk, jazz, classical, bluegrass, choral, or ethnic folk (i.e., Irish, Scandinavian, etc.) music by artists who live or work in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho or Montana. We will accept some vocal pop, but at this time are not accepting rock, rap or hip-hop.
